As many of you know, last year I set myself the goal of finishing the YA novel I was writing. I met my goal back in May, then spent a couple months working on revisions, took a deep breath and submitted it for publication. Well, it is with over-the-moon excitement that I can now tell you it has been accepted! My book is being published!
It still all feels very surreal.
There will be a more official announcement soon but I’ve been given the green light to share and just couldn’t keep the news in any longer. The lovely people at Fierce Ink Press will be publishing my young-adult novel The Summer of Then and Now in November of this year. GAH! So much jubilation happening right here!
So what’s my book about? To give you a little taste, it’s a time-slip romance set in my hometown, Owen Sound, ON. It’s about two girls—living eighty years apart—who meet the same boy while on summer vacation.
More details to come, I promise, but for now I’m going to get back to my happy dancing (it’s hard to do while typing).
Update August 2016: Unfortunately, Fierce Ink has gone out of business and so my novel will not be released in November as planned. I am looking into other publishing options. Please stay tuned.
